Mashquin – Fashion Design Kit for Kids

What is Mashquin?

Mashquin is a reusable tabletop fashion design kit for children aged 5 and above, made in the UK. It includes a small tabletop mannequin, a curated selection of fabric pieces, coordinating trims, and dressmaking pins. Children drape, pin and style fabric onto the mannequin to design their own outfits — no sewing, no glue, and no screen required. The fabrics can be removed and restyled again and again.

What age is Mashquin suitable for?

Mashquin is designed for children aged 5 and above. Younger children enjoy the sensory play and simple styling; older children aged 8 to 12 tend to create more detailed, structured designs. It genuinely grows with your child over several years.

What is included in the Mashquin kit?

Each Mashquin kit includes a tabletop fashion mannequin with a stable base, a curated selection of fabric pieces in coordinating colours, trims and finishing details, dressmaking pins, and gift-ready packaging. Handmade Fabric Baubles

What are Marisha Mistry baubles made from?

Each bauble is handmade in the UK from reclaimed and rescued fabrics, including Indian silk saris, brocade, velvet, bandhani, and embroidered textiles. Because the fabrics are reclaimed, no two baubles are ever exactly the same. Each one is a unique piece.

Are the baubles handmade?

Yes. Every bauble is individually handmade in the UK. They are constructed around a lightweight foam core and finished with embroidery, mirrorwork, or fabric detail and a metallic gold braid trim.

What sizes are the baubles available in?

Baubles are available in 8cm and 10cm. Both sizes are available as a finished Crafted & Completed piece or as a DIY Bauble Kit.

What is a DIY Bauble Kit?

A DIY Bauble Kit contains everything needed to make your own Marisha Mistry fabric bauble at home — a foam bauble base, fabric pieces, trim, and instructions. It makes a thoughtful creative gift and a mindful making activity for adults and older children.

Are the baubles suitable for year-round use?

Yes. Although often purchased as festive decorations, the baubles are designed to be styled throughout the year — for event styling, table settings, interior decor, corporate gifting, and wedding favours.

How long do the baubles last?

With careful handling, the baubles are designed to last many years. They are not glass and will not shatter if dropped. Many customers describe them as heirloom pieces they return to year after year.

Do you offer bespoke baubles with a company logo?

Yes. Bespoke baubles personalised with a company logo or monogram embroidered in gold thread are available in 8cm (from £22 each) and 10cm (from £27 each), with a minimum order of 20 and a one-off logo setup fee of £15.

Do you offer bespoke Christmas crackers?

Yes. Luxury velvet Christmas crackers in burgundy, emerald, and navy are available, personalised with a company logo in gold embroidery. They are reusable, reversible, and supplied empty for you to fill with your own product. Pricing starts from £22 per cracker with a minimum order of 25 and a one-off setup fee of £15. Lead time is 4 to 6 weeks from artwork approval.

What is the complete table setting option?

A matching branded cracker and bauble can be ordered together as a complete table setting for corporate Christmas dinners and events, from £49 per place setting with a minimum of 20 covers.

Are Marisha Mistry products sustainable?

Yes. Sustainability is central to the brand. The baubles are made from rescued and reclaimed fabrics that would otherwise go to waste — primarily vintage Indian saris and off-cuts from the textile industry. Mashquin is designed to be reused indefinitely rather than consumed in a single session.
