    • Taarush draws on Phulkari — one of Punjab's most celebrated embroidery traditions, where fine running stitches are worked in dense diagonal patterns across a dark ground to create something that glows with colour. On a navy blue base, yellow daisy stitches and red arrow stitches run in interlocking diagonal lines across the entire surface, creating a lattice that catches the eye from every angle. At each intersection, a diamond-shaped motif appears in orange or green thread, centred with a square shisha mirror that flashes as the light moves.

Handmade in the UK from reclaimed textiles, each Taarush Bauble takes well over an hour to complete — the running stitch lattice alone covers every panel before the diamond motifs and mirrors are added at each crossing. No two are ever identical, the stitch density and mirror placement shifting subtly across every piece. The gold gimp braid runs pole to pole, the one constant across the whole collection, grounding the vibrant embroidery in something structured.

At 10cm it's one of the statement pieces in the range — bold enough to anchor a display on its own, detailed enough to reward close attention. A strong choice for anyone drawn to folk embroidery traditions, South Asian textile heritage, or simply a piece that doesn't look like anything else. Year-round rather than seasonal.

Prefer a hands-on version? The Taarush Bauble is also available as a DIY Bauble Kit — select your option below.
